I feel that Singapore is very unprepared for any type of natural disaster as all these years, Singapore has been 'shielded' by other countries surrounding it. Due to that reason, people think that we will never have any disasters now. However, that is definitely not the case! Nobody knows what will happen next year, next month, or even the next day! In Haiti, 90, 000 jobs have been lost and more than 222, 000 people killed. About 1.3 million people had been left homeless. Imagine that happening to Singapore! I think that Singaporeans should end their ignorance about the current natural disasters and do something to help others in need.
