1)The way we speak tells others about our attitude and personality.If you are attending an interview,you need to speak in the way to impress the interviewer.And we need to be polite.This shows that intonations are important in communication.If we sound firm and threatening, people will think that we order and threat them.If we sound soft,others will think that we are kind and soft-hearted.

2)I think that Singlish is good and bad. It is good by creating a identification for us to differentiate us from others. It is bad because sometimes Singlish creates a bad impressions and some can't understand the language and some take it seriously and thinks that the person who spoke the language teases and scolds him/her.

And I think that it is best to speak good English as it does not have any bad impression and can articulate our thoughts clearly as everyone understand the language.

1)The way speak really tells us about who we are. Like when we talk softly, it tells us that we're shy or when we talk loudly or aggresively all the time it tells us that we are a somekind of bully so it really tells us about who we are.
2) I think Singlish is good...For Singaporeans...Some people might think that its offensive or maybe embarrassed like the British beacause Singaporeans are some kind of British too, right? What I dont get is why foreign students, like me, starts to use Singlish? I mean I know normal English but i cant help it! I need to Use Lah, Leh, Mah when i talk to my Singaporean friends...Its pretty weird...

I think it is both good and bad. It is good because it tells foreigners that we are Singaporeans and how we communicate with each other.It is bad because if we are having some business with a foreigner and we speaks Singlish to the foreigner. I think with intonation, we can express our emotions and feeling. People will also be able to identify our feelings. If we are angry we will form a strong and firm tone when we speak. If we are sad, we will form a low and fearful voice. I intonation are fun when you are having fun guessing the expressions of your friends. 1) The words we say and the way we say them tells people about who we are, like our behaviour and attitude. The words we say can also show our true selves. If we say something bad or using vulgar language, we may hurt or offence others and they will think that we are rude and disrespectful. The way we speak is important as it represent you and makes what people think of you, so we must think before we speak. Do not speak things that are inappropriate and may hurt other.
2)In my point of view, I do not think Singlish is bad but I do not think it is good either! Singlish is so called"logo" for Singapore. When we speak Singlish, everyone knows that we are from Singapore and give it a unique identity. Every country had their own kind of speaking and language and being a Singaporeans, we use singlish very naturally and it is quite difficult to kick this habit. On the other hand, others may not be able to understand Singlish and we may have difficulties communicating. Singlish is also not formal English so I think learning proper English is inportant as it is a international language.

When these forests are cut down, the plants and animals that live in the forests are destroyed, and some species are at risk of being made extinct. Further, as the large-scale harvesting of lumber from the rain forests continues, the balance of the earth's eco-system is disrupted. We need the rain forests to produce oxygen and clean the atmosphere to help us breathe. We also know that the earth's climate can be affected, as well as the water cycle. Rainforests also provide us with many valuable medicinal plants, and may be a source of a cure from some deadly diseases. Forests can be managed effectively without endangering rare species of plants and animals and without risking global environmental damage. Companies that harvest timber should not be allowed to "clear cut" large areas of forest and should be required to plant new trees after they cut old trees down. Governments should create large parks and reserves where hunting and logging are not allowed. As a world community, we must be careful not to destroy the resources that people will need in the future.
